PDF to Excel for free – move tables from a PDF into Excel (xlsx)
When you need to calculate with tables from a PDF quote, invoice or statistics report in Excel, are you retyping the numbers one by one? The longer the table, the more time it takes and the easier it is to make typos.
EasyCVT PDF to Excel is a free online tool that analyzes the tables and data in a PDF and converts them into an Excel (.xlsx) file.
How does the conversion work?
It analyzes the positions (coordinates) of the text in the PDF and the table structure, then places them into rows and columns in Excel. The conversion happens inside your browser, and the file is not uploaded to a server. You can convert even internal company documents with relative peace of mind.
How to use
- Drag and drop a PDF file, or choose one with "Browse PDF files".
- Press "Convert to Excel (.xlsx)".
- Download the converted Excel file.
It is so simple that no separate manual is needed.
Please note: text-based PDFs are recommended
This tool is built for electronic PDFs whose text can be copied.
- ✅ Documents saved as PDF from Excel, HWP or Word, and statements printed from a system: these convert well.
- ⚠️ PDFs made by scanning paper, or PDFs made from photos: the text is an image, so the result may not be what you expect.
You can check first by trying to select text in the PDF with the mouse.
Useful for tasks like these
- Totaling the amounts in PDF quotes and invoices received from clients
- Working with public statistics PDFs in Excel
- Pasting tables from a PDF report into your own document
